Using Your Electric Pump

1. Put on your prosthesis.
Using your prosthesis electric pump 2. After your prosthesis is on, make sure your limb is attached to the bottom. Insert the On/Off tab with matching stickers or matching colors. After the electric pump silences, there may be additional draws for the first hour.
3. To turn the electric pump off remove the On/Off tab.
4. If the electric pump turns on and does not shut off after a few minutes, UNPLUG the On/Off tab to preserve the motor and battery.
5. If you have a hose with a one-way valve disconnect the hose on your prosthesis and connect the hose with the one-way valve. Call us to arrange a time to address the issue.

CHARGING: The battery needs to be charged about every 3 weeks for 4 hours. Insert the connector of the battery charger in the same manner as the On/Off tab. A red light should illuminate on the charger pack. Once the light is green, the battery is charged and no longer needs charging.

Instructions for Putting On Your Prosthesis

Rub A&D ointment or lotion on your limb. (dry skin is our enemy)
Use A & D Ointment for your prosthetic limb
Invert or flip the liner inside out, add lotion or powder inside and rub around evenly. Press bottom of liner firmly against end of limb and roll liner up toward thigh. Vertical line is in front similar to a pant seam.

Wipe offexcess lotion or powder. Put on sheath and/or sock(s) and reflect back down over socket edges.

Step into prosthesis. It may take a few seconds to push air out and your limb reaches the bottom.
Pull up sleeve.
*MONITOR GAS GAUGE LINE DAILY. When dropping down to socket level, fills are needed.

Caring For and Cleaning the Liner

Visually inspect the liner daily checking for tear or abrasion.
Contact us as soon as possible with anything that may seem unusual. This allows us to make adjustments before any problems occur.
- Hand wash the liner using a non-alergenic soap and a clean cloth.
- Do not use concentrated soap or bleach and avoid scented soaps.
- Towel dry the liner.
